Do you have Respectaroo’s in your gym? In this free download, author Sandy Hagenbach uses an acrostic to teach what respect looks like. Each letter of the word respect is used to represent a longer phrase for something that students should respect in the gym. As you read the story, point out to your students how each letter of the word respect stands for something. This story can be used with kindergarten through second grade to introduce or reinforce the concept of respect.
