Get That Strike In Bowling

Posted: 30 Mar 2012 08:25 PM PDT

Many bowlers aspire to have consistent strikes in bowling but their schedules may not allow them to practice in a bowling as often as they wish. There are many ways bowlers can practice and improve their performance, although they are far from the bowling lanes.Visualize the performance of consistent strikes that every bowler dreams about. Here are some tips on how to get strikes, even when he is not in the alleys.

The house can be a suitable place to practice up bowling. Find a spot in the house where the floor is vinyl, hardwood, tile or any flooring that is similar to the texture of the bowling lanes.
Make a "T" shape using a tape or a marker to mark the spot as the starting position. The player may then put her toes on top of "T" he improvises. It will then be able to understand the best approach and mark the exact spot where he can take his first steps.
It can then proceed practicing by visualizing the bowling action and get the strike. Repeat the time the first step to becoming more compatible with the move. It is important not to look down at the marker, it is every time he takes this step. It should be able to control the exact location of the ideal, it assigned to the marker. The repetition will allow him to refine his approach.
It can also perform its movements towards the imagination he has. It can do the moves, even without a ball or he can improvise with any round object that can run and has the same weight as a standard bowling ball. He can imagine the way, concentrating in the center of the path of the imagination, and I think there standing pins on it. Practice the backswing and hook techniques by imagining throwing a ball on a specific target.
Practicing at home is a great way to master the skills and get consistent strikes when bowling. Bowling requires attention and imagination and practicing at home using the improvised lane is a good way to stay focused and be imaginative.

Bowling Tips And Etiquette

Posted: 29 Mar 2012 08:21 PM PDT

Bowling is a sport very interesting. It does not require you to be a professional to be able to play this game. However, there are labels that should be considered when playing bowling so that bowlers will learn how to properly play the game and enjoy it together.

Here are some tips bowling little to be observed all the time:
1. The bowler must first know who bowls on the tracks. The general rule is that whoever is first is the first bowler who should play, but players can negotiate on that very first bowl.
2. The melon should always be ready in a bowl. Be prepared to take your turn - no unnecessary delays - the player will need to throw the ball to the tracks and hit all the pins when it is comfortable.
3. It is important to show respect to other bowlers if they are your teammates, opponents or even those who play in the alleys on either side of you. They must demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times and they need to be attentive to other players.
4. Bowlers must also learn to respect the rules and guidelines established the game and bowling. The rules are there to keep them safe and bowlers create healthy relationship with the other bowlers. It is important that these rules are respected at all times.
5. A guideline that should be observed is to choose and use the same ball throughout the match. It's a way of showing respect to other bowlers. It is not appropriate to pick a ball that is already used by another player.
6. Bowlers should allow a healthy competition between players by learning to compete with other players in a friendly way. They should cooperate with teammates by not wasting time during the game and participating eagerly in the game
7. Neat and clean is extremely important. Knowing where to throw the bottles used for drinking or other food waste, they accumulate. It is not suitable to disperse all the leftovers in the corridors - use the trash. Towels should always be placed in / on their bags if not used as a courtesy to other players.
These tips are very useful for observing the label in all bowling alleys. Bowling should be a place of enjoyment and fun and the observation of these tips will allow each bowler to enjoy every game in every bowling alley.

Coming soon: Tim Noakes’ Waterlogged

"Drink as much as you can, even before you feel thirsty." That's been the mantra to athletes and coaches for the past three decades, and bottled water and sports drinks have flourished into billion-dollar industries in the same short time. The problem is that an overhydrated athlete is at a performance disadvantage and at risk of exercise-associated hyponatremia (EAH)--a potentially fatal condition.

Dr. Tim Noakes takes you inside the science of athlete hydration for a fascinating look at the human body's need for water and how it uses the liquids it ingests. He sets the record straight, exposing the myths surrounding dehydration and presenting up-to-date hydration guidelines for endurance sport and prolonged training activities.

This highly anticipated new book will be available in May. Find out more.

Diet affects the risk of cancer

An unhealthy diet could account for up to 30% of all cancers in developing countries and perhaps 35% of cancer deaths in the United States. Hence, along with tobacco use, diet is one of the most important modifiable risk factors for cancer.
